Stories Kids Tell

7 Jan

It cracks me up to hear the stories my kids tell each other.  Makes me curious about the conversations they have with their friends.

Josie was diagnosed with a bladder infection last night.  Not uncommon for her.  This morning she told her brother that she couldn’t pick up the toy off the floor because she has to be careful how she bends her stomach.  She shared in intricate detail of the dangers of bending your stomach the wrong way when you have a bladder infection and the long term affects of such careless activities.

I can remember when I was 8 telling my friends that girls can’t do push-ups or their muscles would burst.  It sounded good at the time.

    Gina,
When I was a kid just starting kindergarten, I told my teacher that I was “allergic” to white milk (chocolate, was ok). Kids are great!

Smart girl…too smart! Scary what stories they may be sharing & hearing!!!
You & I would have had some fun! I could take any boy or anyone in a push-up contest…or pull up for that matter… And I would have argued with you, told you why they could, madeyou try it and proven you wrong just because I was ALWAYS right! Fun times! If only I had those skills these days!

My kid once told me that the Ten Commandments included things like, Not killing someone, Not stealing, Loving only God, and never eating sugar.

Unfortunately I would stumble daily on the sugar commandment.
