My Favorite Travel Apps
9 Feb
Traveling today from Little Rock, AR to Knoxville, TN. There are a few iPhone apps that I love to use when on the road.
* Starbucks: of course, we need a way to find the caffeine. This app is excellent for identifying the store nearest you
* Target: when you need emergency supplies this app has a solid store locator. Wal-Mart has one also but not very reliable.
* WordPress: Let’s me update my blog when I’m away from the computer. Like now.
*Sit or Squat: Great way to find restrooms on the road. You can add restrooms you find and rate their quality. Help a sister out and tell me where the clean restrooms are!
* Facebook & Tweetdeck: ‘nuf said
* Maps: because I stink at navigating.
* Around Me: helps me find anything from Gas Stations to Restaraunts.
* MobileRSS: to keep up with my favorite blogs
* Kindle: so I don’t have to pack books
* YouVersion: it’s my Bible
What are your favorite roadtrip apps?

love u guys…praying for safety and good memories!
love tristie
Knoxville is my home. What’s bringing you here?
Claudia,
I’m joining the Faith Promise Church team as their Children’s ministry director. Maybe we can connect.
I would love that. I’ve served as the Children’s Pastor at White Stone for 2 1/2 years, but have never really found anyone in the area to share the joys and challenges with.
Congratulations, by the way!
That is exactly what I love to do. We can’t do this thing alone. I can’t wait to meet you. I’ll get in touch with you as soon as I get my bearings. And thanks for the congrats. I’m looking forward to it.
Those are great… we use most of them and I am jealous that my blog is not on wordpress for that very reason. I have not heard of sit or squat, but I am checking that out FOR SURE!
Tyne,
When you’ve got a child with a small bladder Sit or Squat comes in pretty handy.
Hope your travels have gone well. Excited to hear of all your TN adventures!
Here are just a few of mine:
Bump, so that when I meet other iPhone users it is easy to exchange information.
Best Camera for all of those great pictures. It is also easy to send to my flickr, twitter, facebook, etc
iVideo which turns my 3G into a 3Gs and sends to many of my sites like 12seconds, facebook, twitter etc.
Documents to Go for all my mobile desktop work
Dragon Dictation for easy connecting through email, text etc
Quick office which also allows me to use my drp box as well.
Evernote is a must. Take pictures, talk, etc and use evernote and find easy later with a great search feature
Foursquare is a fun one to let my family and friends keep tabs on where I am
Jaadu VNC allows me to connect to my computers at work and home remotely anywhere. I can even print
reQall is great to help me keep my life organized
Those are a few of mine, but most of them (if not all) I use if I am traveling across town or out of the country.
I still am upset that you didn’t let us know you where around my area in time. We would treated your fam to Starbucks and a meal. Maybe another time.
